NEW DANCE CLASSES COMING OCTOBER 2020...

We are excited to announce we will be starting some Dance classes from October 2020, We would like to welcome Faith Osman to the coaching team with Arrows Elite, who will be running the dance sessions.  Faith has years of dance teaching experience and also has a degree in Dance.  We are so happy to welcome her to the team!

GENERAL DANCE

Saturday Mornings 11.15-12.15am

Our general dance sessions cover ALL different styles of Dance, including: street, contemporary, modern, hip hop, jazz, lyrical and Pom. 

 

Members will work on learning short routines each week, this is currently a non-competitive class, it is purely designed as an introduction into the world of Dance.

POM DANCE

Pom Dance can be performed with any type of dance style such as Jazz, Funk, Pop, Lyrical, Hip-Hop and Street. Important characteristics of a Pom routine include: synchronisation and visual effect, clean and precise motions and strong pom technique. Visual effects include level changes, group work, formation changes and he use of different colour poms.

 Our Pom classes are designed for beginners and will be concentrating on basic dance techniques such as: 

  • Body Alignment& Tension

  • Kicks

  • Turns

  • Leaps and Jumps

Working towards competitions in the future is a goal for these sessions.

HIP HOP

Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles

 Our Hip Hop classes are designed for beginners and will be concentrating on basic dance techniques such as: 

  • Popping and Locking

  • Breaking

Working towards competitions in the future is a goal for these sessions.

JAZZ

Key features of jazz dance styles include using feet, arm, and hand positions, isolation (head, shoulder, hips), timing, shape, and movements including body rolls, jazz walks, swings, and kicks.
